How to Refer

If you are working with a young person who may need North Star’s services, please contact us. Our specialized team of nurses and master’s level social workers on the Needs Assessment and Referral (NAR) team have extensive experience in handling mental health issues of young people and families. The staff will discuss options, provide referrals or make arrangements for a child’s admission to a North Star program. They will coordinate with the family or guardian, and make arrangements for you to participate in continuing treatment with the parent's permission. Contact us at (907) 258-7575 or at (800) 478-7575, and ask for the Needs Assessment office.

Do you have questions about our programs? Are you a healthcare professional from outside the state of Alaska? Would you like to know more about our wilderness-based residential treatment program? Call us at (907) 258-7575 or (800) 478-7575 (in Alaska) or complete the short inquiry to request more information.
